Scholarships

ASSE is committed to helping exceptional North American students with financial limitations study abroad for a high school year. A limited number of scholarships are available each year to students demonstrating academic excellence and financial need.

ASSE's Scholarships are awarded primarily on the basis of financial need and secondly for academic excellence, with a 'B+' grade average (3.4) being the minimum required to apply for our 3 Scholarships:

Walter Danielson Scholarship - To honor Walter Danielson and his great achievements in establishing ASSE International to further international and cultural understanding, this scholarship covers 100% of the program fee, round trip airfare, one field trip in the host country, comprehensive insurance and monthly pocket money. One scholarship is awarded each year throughout North America.

Jodi Kiefer Memorial Scholarship - In memory of Jodi Kiefer, dedicated advocate for the ASSE & World Heritage International Student Exchange Programs for over 25 years, ASSE, in cooperation with SHE Herencia and  the Kiefer Family, offers one full scholarship to Spain in the 2017-18 school year covering 100% of the program fee, round trip airfare, one field trip in the host country, comprehensive insurance and monthly pocket money. Having benefited from high school international exchange firsthand, after college Jodi began a lifelong career with ASSE. She believed that one student can make a huge impact and helped thousands of American families and teenagers from other countries realize the value of cultural exchange.

90% Scholarship - One 90% scholarship is offered each year in your area. You only pay the program deposit, domestic travel to and from the international gateway and your own monthly pocket money.
