Scholarships

ASSE is committed to helping exceptional North American students with financial limitations study abroad for a high school year. A limited number of scholarships are available each year to students demonstrating academic excellence and financial need.

ASSE's Scholarships are awarded primarily on the basis of financial need and secondly for academic excellence, with a 'B+' grade average (3.4) being the minimum required to apply for our 3 Scholarships:

1. Walter Danielson Scholarship - To honor Walter Danielson and his great achievements in establishing ASSE International to further international and cultural understanding, this scholarship covers 100% of the program fee, round trip airfare, one field trip in the host country, comprehensive insurance and monthly pocket money. One scholarship is awarded each year throughout North America.

2. Global Adventures Scholarship - One 90% scholarship is offered each year in your area. You only pay the program deposit, domestic travel to and from the international gateway and your own monthly pocket money.

3. The Congress Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX) Program - As the name might indicate, the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program (known in Germany as the Parlamentarisches Patenschafts-Programm or PPP) emphasizes learning about each country's political life. During organized trips to their host country's capital, students have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with US Congressional Representatives and German Bundestag Members during their year abroad to discuss issues related to their exchange year.

Because the CBYX program awards full scholarships to each qualifying student, the application and selection process is competitive, but well worth the extra effort. So, what are you waiting for? Living and studying in Germany as a Congress-Bundestag student, is just a click away!

Apply now, and complete your full application package no later than March 01 for your chance to be awarded one of ASSE’s exceptional scholarships.
